I think that's why myself and another fellow were sort of pointing that out! He also pointed out that most of Australia's energy is produced by coal, and not clean coal. So more "dirty" energy is used if they charged their stupid electric car on the grid, rather than off that diesel generator! It was a bit painful and humorous to see responses... Their feelings were still hurt ;)

So, the politically correct nimrods should think this through, if they want a charging station, then install solar, wind or some other "green method" with batteries to store the power and run the charger, and keep the diesel as last resort item. However, as people who really know what is real, and fake, it takes more energy and creates more evil gases, to make solar panels etc, than is saved by the huge CO2 creating electric car (only all the CO2 was in the front end of the issue). Sheeple don't need details, just slogans and nonsense to feel good....

The discussion we sort of had at work regarding that picture, basically came to the conclusion: it was a creative way to produce the electricity for Prats driving electric cars in the middle of Australia to charge their cars. and it doesn't burn the bad coal from the coal plants. Diesel burns cleaner. I had a good laugh at all the hilarious reactions to that picture on that page at work! I think the pic is from Australia :)

OMG! The charger with the Diesel generator made it to my work "facebook" on the Greenie page! They were totally bitching about the efforts of "clean energy". I was going to post a LOL but I just posted "have to create the electricity somehow!" Someone else posted that the Diesel gen is probably way cleaner, especially if that location was out in the middle of nowhere. But it was hilarious to watch the reactions from the greenies... (I still am not sure how i got added to that page!)

I loved the diesel generator at the charging station. I asked an engineer friend what would generate the power for the charging stations. His response "oil, gas, coal'. There you are!

I have to laugh, Note: they no longer give you the read outs when you get your cars emissions checked out east here...maybe 10 years ago, they did and I was Shocked to find...NO CARBON, nor, CARBON Monoxide emissions what so ever in modern day cars...

An Australian owner of an electric car wants to drive it across the continent.
In the center, flat, dry, there is not much of anything- no electric car recharging stations for sure.
So the dude wants to set up diesel generators to provide the electricity, just tanker out the diesel by truck.
The cost? The govment should do it.
