Even liberals' support is waning, but the most telling - and influential - vote is the Teachers' Unions, whose support has dropped drastically. I expect several more states to bow out in the next few years. It won't happen in my state until the current Governor (up for re-election and a Republican, but a HUGE proponent of Common Core) gets tossed.
