While we're very happy to have you in the Gulch and appreciate your wanting to fully engage, some things in the Gulch (e.g. voting, links in comments) are a privilege, not a right. To get you up to speed as quickly as possible, we've provided two options for earning these privileges.
He is a big security risk based on the allegations of corruption against him and his family.
Given his mental ability, I wouldn't trust him with anything beyond his personal bathroom.
I don't trust anyone in the federal government with the security of America, nor with the personal information already illegally accumulated by the "intelligence" agencies.
I also think the Georgia legislature should delay the runoffs for senators until after the allegations of election corruption have been resolved since those allegations may even change the need for one of the runoffs.
I liken the transition period to a relay race where the baton should be handed off smoothly. Right now it seems like the baton is being dropped on the ground and there is a squable about who should pick it up. Meanwhile yhe race (China et al) goes on.
He should receive only what is required by law. At this point he has no more right to secure information than any other person.
The Trump administration is still in charge and should remain so until a new president is sworn in.
Your concern should be: the sooner Buydem has access the sooner he can sell us out to China and every other competitor country in the entire universe. That will make any negotiation for the American people by the existing administration impossible.
Buydem is a traitor.
He has either earned it or he hasn’t. To date, he hasn’t legit earned it. If proven he. DID earn it, I’d still be reluctant but one must follow the law.
It's like a wedding...if anyone objects to the biden/harris couple wedding the USA then please speak now or forever hold your piece!
The GSA determines when the President-Elect can begin setting up his offices and paying his staff and cabinet and that should happen after the electors decide who won and not before. Legal challenges could take months or even years but it seems clear the SCOTUS will have to be involved in the very near future.
What is happening right now is precisely what PDJT warned us all about long before the election. There are lots of irregularities ruled upon by those entities that have no authority to make such rulings. The only entities that have a "Constitutional" legal say in the election processes are the Legislators of each state and not the courts or AGs. There is a ton of crap tossed into this election and it all needs to be adjudicated before there is any clear winner declared. At this very moment what is going on is a massive attempt at running out the clock. I will wait!
There are security briefings and then there are action briefings. Very different animals which frequently get confused. No one but the acting President has access to the action briefings which are daily - assuming of course that the President is there (Obama didn't bother going to them). Current evaluations of other nations and strategic initiatives are commonly shared once an election has been settled and this one is far from that. Biden still hasn't been certified with the necessary 272 votes, neither has the Electoral College voted. Thus Biden hasn't secured the necessary qualifications - regardless his abysmal record as a security risk - to have those briefings.
