I just dont see Biden getting any support among the 74 million that voted for Trump. This government relies on willing support and obedience. Lets c what happens.

In my circle there is revolt along with anger...I see X military clothed, armed and at the ready...they make me proud these men....received 2 no doubt re-gifted items from people...both said that Made in C garage...in a bag to drop off anywhere then here and when I see something online that says imported before purchase I write from where....even Hallmark, Dayspring cards had Made in C on the box...they heard my thoughts. Along with the big companies that right away supported BLM they too are off my list odd how all of them though unsubscribing come back in later times but I just keep on doing it!!

The strike AS NOTED IN AS. Happens slowly one person at a time and will result in destruction of the USA and the rise of China. Trump was a reprieve for 4 years, but we are either collectively destroyed or we have a revolution

I agree we will be cashless as that gives the govt more power. What I don’t know is how they will magically eradicate out savings to pay for the inflation they have caused. Maybe they will just let prices rise a lot while pinning savings to a lower value

I expect the crisis will be used to eliminate cash and make all money part of the e-banking system, as a way to track every transaction. And I wonder what people will come up with as a substitute medium of exchange.

I looked it up on www.congress.gov by searching on "defense appropriations" and then "most recent actions." It appears that he did return the bill and the House is going to take up an override attempt on Monday. Either this was bad planning by Trump or he did receive it too early to pocket-veto it. (Or he intended it to pass without his signature.)

The bill was passed Monday night Dec 21.
When did they sent the bill to the president and when did he receive it?

Not quite. Here's the actual language from Article I, Section 7:

"If any Bill shall not be returned by the President within ten Days (Sundays excepted) after it shall have been presented to him, the Same shall be a Law, in like Manner as if he had signed it, unless the Congress by their Adjournment prevent its Return, in which Case it shall not be a Law."

So it's 10 days excluding Sundays.

The special case of a pocket veto is the last clause above, which applies here because at noon on January 3 (date set by the 20th Amendment), the terms of all House members and 1/3 of Senators expire, and the outgoing Congress is forced to adjourn sine die so that the incoming Congress can start their session and be sworn in.

This year, Jan 3 is a Sunday. The 10th day before it, excluding Sundays, was Dec 23.

So long as Congress can borrow, they can ignore that problem by kicking it down the road. The only question in my mind is, will we ever have a balanced budget amendment, or will they go all the way to runaway inflation? I don't think it's as far off as most people assume. (Unlike Latin America where borrowing has to stop when the government exhausts the capacity of a country's small banking system to lend, the Federal Reserve can pull money out of its ass forever simply by buying whatever bonds the Treasury can't sell. They've been using that ability heavily since 2008.)

I wonder how long the leftists are going to expect people willingly pay for all this pork. People can cut expenses and therefore reduce the need for income, and they can also move out and live in cheaper places.

If it sits on his desk for 10 days, a veto is logged, and the congress can over ride it if they can.

He will NOT sign it. IF congress wants it, they can over ride his veto. If they cant over ride his veto, things can wait until Biden modifies it to be 3T instead of 900 billion, and show his true colors.

Time to bring down the country and get it over with. It cant be saved at this point. Its headed to the end game in AS.
