Sixty years past..... 2/9/1961
Ayn Rand delivered The Objectivist's Ethics at the University of Wisconsin Symposium on "Ethics In Our time" in Madison, Wisconsin.
If the scanned doc appears in the post; it is from my personal original.

Through 10 years of looking at and applying objectivity to perception and action, within my life, I always return to this essay when I find conflict. And I think, objectively, is this a personal trend? This essay is the most fundamental statement on Values she ever produced. Am I wrong or misled in this conception? If not, why is this avoided so? Her essays on Capitalism depend on this as foundational for definitions and relationships. Why is it not honored? Just a whim? Why does this not come to the forefront from those much more studied than I? I think these are questions quite pertinent to Objectivism at it's most basic.

I pay homage to the origin and time and place and intention of this great work.
I hope whomever finds this may as well.

Thanks Neal. I had scanned my original and tried to attach it to the post. Not overly concerned that it did not appear.
There are things to be learned yet.
One of the things I have learned. Print everything to hard copy or procure hard copy. One electrical mishap and.....gone.
I referenced returning to this work often to solve "conflict". I was in that process, with my physical document, and the date caught my eye. I'm happy for the synchronicity and ability to bring this to awareness.

Neat! Unfortunately, what The Virtue of Selfishness proved is that you cannot redeem a word. Bernie Sanders and his followers discovered that too - socialism cannot be redeemed.

I've always wished that she had invented a new word for the new idea she was talking about.

My father's family lived blocks away on 200 block of State at that time. I wonder if by chance anyone I knew went.

I did not see a link to the document.
