I've actually used a pencil on a cassette, so I must be one of the three. LOL. Hated the taste of vinyl in hose water, but drank it anyway. Still drink from a hose, but I don't have the vinyl kind. Good choices!

  Vinyl? The garden hoses I drank from (50's and 60's) were rubber, but yes, they did taste awful and yet acceptable on a hot Texas day.

    Vinyl garden hoses became popular in the mid to late '50s. I was born in 1952 and by 1960 vinyl hoses were popular in my neighborhood when I was 8. Yes, I drank from them back then. I remember some people still had rubber hoses as well and water through them didn't taste all that great, either. I don't use vinyl hoses today as the more rubber-like hoses are more flexible especially when the weather gets colder.

Me old dino still recalls my first record player. It obviously made an impression on me as a Christmas present of the early Fifties that looked simpler and smaller than the one in the meme and it came with records for little kids.

Push the pencil through one of the cassette holes.
Twirl to rewind or ffwd.

btw, the 'first time' was with speakers. (Phones came later with rock that parents couldn't stand to hear.)

  Bought one of the best "phones" back in the day could not stand that weight on my head and plastic around my ears and still can not tolerate lighter now plugs in my ears.

        The 2.5R's don't come up for sale often.
        The IIIa's are the same vintage, a little larger with slightly better bass.

        I understand that the Eminent LFT-8b has a similar sound to Maggies, but I haven't heard them. They are still being manufactured in Tallahassee, FL.

My father was born the same year as Pluto, and outlived him by two years.

I get the pencil and cassette one, big time! Still have cassettes from HS! Not sure if I still have an 8-track.

Snoopy one is precious! Too bad Howard M Schultz killed so many burgeoning transvestites and swore allegiance to Theodor Seuss Geise. Oh wait has that happened yet?

Took me a minute, but pulled up a memory of using a pencil, or watching someone, use the pencil to unravel a tangled tape. No, wrong! using the pencil to pull the tape out, but using the pencil in the rewind hole!
