    I agree with depopulation. We do NOT need more people, and the ones we have generally to not contribute. Then we have the argument that the non-contributors are enslaved.

    We need a steady-state reached by contribution, not unstable, technology-enabled biology.

      Population is not the issue, the issue is how many of them are consciously introspective and why are some not but seem to have the potential to be. For the latter, Hand ups, not hand outs.

      It is, however, in our interest to subdue,sequester, those that have never been and those that never will be.

        Well, it is the same. One is a description of the outcome. The other is a description of the proper design process.

        Of course we should let a reasonable process (e.g. capitalism) dominate. We both agree.

        My point is the equilibrium point is way behind us, due to inequitable and inappropriate circumstance. We can breed and feed a legion more humans. We don't need any more to improve the mean standard of living. Therefore, there is no driver for more people, other than sex and societal demands. Let capitalism run, and the bubble will float right where it belongs.

          I think that the left identifying different groups as victims causes those groups to over reproduce, perhaps as a unconscious revolt...maybe, but I don't have the data to say that may be so.
