I've seen parents restrain their children to keep them away from me at Whole Foods. Those living in fear are completely irrational at this point and seeing people without masks seems to cause near panic in some.

I did put a post with the link you can click on, but it got buried in the shuffle of all the other posts. I don't know how to stick it at the top for an "Ask Gulch" scenario.

Common sense says EVERYTHING is always a ratio.

In this case, you have RISK/REWARD... A concept EVERYONE learns early on, from grabbing a hot dish,
to jumping off a cliff into clear water. To crossing a street.

And we GET IT WRONG. But, for the most part, we are responsible for those decisions.

This is 100% correct. Government and the Media should be TELLING US how to interpret the ACTUAL risk.
Not making us REALLY SCARED of something, and TELLING US HOW to behave. This is insanity.

And the guilty are clueless. We had an IDIOT on NextDoor, messaging out 5,312 people died yesterday from Covid.
Blaming Trump, and reminding us this is worse than a 9-11 event, every day. (Granted he could not discern OF Covid vs With Covid),
and He could not show EXCESS deaths. And if you ASKED, you were labelled a grandma killer, and banned, as every life is precious!

And that is the last piece. Their should be nothing EMOTIONAL about science. Ebola is incredibly lethal.
Just tell me it is in my neighborhood, and I will probably not go out for a while. Because I can calculate RISK/REWARD for myself.

    Crazy Times...

    Thanks for sharing!

I took the "Kraken" remark to be humorous rhetoric with a message and I still smile at some of the memes people came up with after that. Hindsight being 20/20, I don't think she (or many at the time, including me) thought the courts would be so quick to summarily dismiss what she was bringing to the table and effectively cage the Kraken. The same happened to Mike Lindell. IMHO, most lawyers are Democrats and have a strong grip on the legal system in this country, which is why we STILL don't really know what happened in Arizona, Georgia, and elsewhere regarding the 2020 election - and may never know.

I have no idea what happened between her and Giuliani. I respect them both.

BTW, I like your moniker, evlwhtguy. Me too, LOL!

I've used a "screen door on a submarine" analogy a few times and had lefty heads spinning. It goes something like this: Can you scientifically prove a screen door on a submarine will hold back ocean water? Yes, you can because the mesh will hold back water. However, if you use ALL the science you quickly realize the tiny amount of water the mesh stops is irrelevant to the amount of water flooding through the holes, which is why it's useless to put screen doors on submarines. Same for a mask holding back a virus cloud.

It just really stood out to me when she promoted this whole Kraken business....which seemed a little non serious to me...more like promotion and when Giuliani turned away from her so suddenly with no explanation after what seemed a very convivial joint presser..It caused me to question everything I had heard about her.

Absolutely. "Charade" is right. It is bad medicine. Masks do not stop viruses. Even N95 masks do not stop viruses. They stop bacteria, which is why I used to wear one in an operating room. But not viruses.

I'm curious as well, evlwhtguy. She did well defending Flynn, but was thwarted by commie judges at every attempt to fight election fraud, but she spent a lot of energy on that and still does.

Of course you are, I would be interested in learning what is amiss with her. She has been volunteering her services after all and she was tenacious in representing Gen Flynn.

No...but I can discern and I am entitled to my opinion. I think she is a ceaseless self promoter. It really stood out to me when Giuliani suddenly ditched her 1 day after a joint presser.....something is amiss with her.

Never worn one. Had the "deadly" Covid twice, didn't even kill me with heart issues, severe COPD, even ED. It was a complete and brutal farce, and hopefully the truth will be coming out world over, right after Russia meets its goals in the Ukraine.

Governor of WA has moved up the drop mask date nine days earlier to March 12th. I'm confident those 9 days early will resolve the whole issue politically. He must feel 9 days early will secure his next reelection.

^5 A friend on the east coast has a relative that has not left their home except to start the car in the driveway destroying its exhaust system along with their own lives but they still do not and have deliveries left on the porch for hours still :/

I suggest if they were really afraid of COVID, the best solution is to stay on the inside of their front door at home.

I had to hold back when one of two for certain liberals were wearing masks said snide remarks because I did not have a mask though I was more then 10 ft away from them...in my younger years they would surely heard my fury..mellowed a tad but more everyone is ready to file criminal charges without good cause.

How many times are these 'restrictions" a result of the fear of defensive litigation?
If that fear were lifted, would the boards be more apt to release the blanket restrictions?
Maybe that was only a single consideration but that release will allow a more focus on the other reasons.
If they are in fear of litigation. Litigation brought on by who or what injured party? There may be a figment of a possible injured party that would not manifest.
So, it must be determined, what are they (school board members) scared of
