Excerpt:
"aco Bell is the latest company to embrace woke activism by rolling out "Taco Bell Drag Brunch" at select Taco Bell Cantinas across the US.

"Each show will be hosted by the fabulous drag performer and taco extraordinaire, Kay Sedia, and feature performances from local queens and kings that will transform any morning from Mild to Fire!" according to a recent press release from the largest fast-food Tex-Mex restaurant chain.

"As a brand that brings people together, the Taco Bell Drag Brunch experience is rooted in celebrating the LGBTQIA+ community and creating safe and welcoming spaces for all," the press release continued. "

===============================

I won't be going to any Taco Bell, but I never have.

No more Toco Bell for me. Being honest I don't think I've been to one in over 45 years. But it' got me to thinking, I just got a hunger for a Big Mac an Fries.

    My speculation...
Someone at the home office has firmly placed a woke thumb on the decision scale and using a
deliberately left-biased poll of potential customers has made a decision that will reduce the
number of conscious conservatives to zero.
In a high inflation market, the customer base will already be reduced, and this action will
result in half of the (greasy spoon) TacoHells to close in the next few years.

My kids have something in common with you, ffa. They refer to those establishments as TacoHell, PizzaSlut, and BuggerKing. They don't eat at any of them.

I eat Mexican food every chance I get. It's a great anti-inflammatory and relieves pain! The Marguerita I order with it helps. We have at least 7 Mexican food restaurants in our little town. I couldn't get through Christmas without my tamales! I go straight to the Barrio to buy them!

I think its stupid for these companies to try to appear woke just to get the approval of the left. Maybe they will get more customers, who knows.

Personally I could care less who their customers are. I go to taco bell occasionally and it has always seemed that no matter who you were, you got the same tacos and treatment. In fact taco bell was the chain that handled the pandemic BEST in terms of service. They appear to be fixing a non existent problem.

My best friend in the 90's was a great chef (Culinary Institute grad being paid very low wages) and he ate at Taco Bell frequently because it was the best economy fast food at the time.

Same here on home cooking, AW.
Fortunately, I usually have time to do that.
My lazy favorite is Marie Callender's chicken pot pie (15 oz size.)
Vaguely reminds me of the 25 cent Banquet pot pies that were a staple in my college days.

For us it was the incredibly cheap, and large proportion of the bean and cheese burritos - with no red sauce. Now they are more expensive (relative and raw numbers-wise) and smaller.

Back then, when you'd order w/"no red" you could actually taste the roasted-ness of the beans. Now, what little beans you get don't have that nice flavor to them. And they've doubled in price while being 1/4 or less of the size. A bygone era.

I can never forget the Demolition Man movie, where all restaurants are Taco Bell (after the "Franchise War") and Arnold Shwartenager became president. Interesting foreshadowing to him becoming governor.

I hope they celebrate themselves into the grave of bankruptcy and take their parent company with them. Adios to Taco Hell, Kommie-Fied Chicken, and PizzaHurts.
Even the smell of TacoBell sends me to a different neighborhood.

A friend of mine way back in the late 80's would do our gal thing dancing our feet off on the weekends after a crazy work week...and we WORKED....she always wanted one of their "pizza's"..crunch wraps later for myself.....way later now they are just plain nasty! Believe others feel the same their used to be long lines in the drive thru....not now : )))

yeah, unfortunately Taco Bell lost me when I went low-carb... LOL Every year or two, I would let myself have a beef burrito...

But they are officially off-limits until further notice.

    Thanks for sharing!

Might be better for your health, at least.
Some of Aldi's frozen dinners taste much better to me. Home made quesadillas are easy to make and much tastier - not to mention you know what is in them. But neither are available instantly on the way home from running errands. ;^(

    Bell be goin' to hell.
Three weeks ago me dino pulled up to the Taco Bell intercom.
Intercom lady~~oh, excuse me, that's a birthing person now~~told me I would have to come inside.
One word popped out of my mouth and that word was "Meh." Me dino did not go inside. Why? To say "meh" to a birthing person is not to comply.
Me dino is of the people who say, "Meh."
Three days ago me dino awaited my order by the drive-by window at Captain D. Across the street was Taco Bell and three weeks later NO ONE STILL COULD NOT make an order at the outside intercom.
When me dino got home the Captain D fish tasted peculiar and I dumped it.
Meh! To eat Captain D is to eat fish that tastes like pee.
Meh! Wonder if Captain D wears the Yoke Of Woke also. Meh! Meh! Meh! Patooie!

Such a shame that so many people are too egocentric to realize when they are being pandered to for profit. Especially the people who are against profit to begin with.

I don't care if they celebrate LGBTXYZ, or that any of the acronyms exist. Just don't force me to do anything with it.

Taco Bell food sucks. I'm not sure if I have eaten at one more than twice. That is why I won't go again.

There is a Gulcher who has a weakness for Taco Bell. You wouldn’t be surprised that this would be no problemo to the guy I am referring to.
