Yes, LOL, when I read this the image of Dagny telling the union boss to get out of her office and then verbally bitch slapping the fool came to mind.

I took the train from Houston to Ft. Campbell Kentucky with my 2 year old son. A troop car was hooked onto it. What an adventure! I laughed all the way. N

We would expect Joey to stand up for unions. But equally tempting is to let the strike happen, blame Putin, and drive inflation up higher. Stay tuned! Ironically, my little Nephew is playing on the floor with his Brio wooden train set. He is fascinated by it. Why do toddlers love trains so much? A train company was such a perfect choice by Rand in AS, to demonstrate her views.

My wife and I have traveled by train a number of times and enjoyed the trip. We get a room in the sleeping car for long trips, business class otherwise. Rode coach NY to Fla and back once. ONCE. Not again.

Ah yes, and all those trains run on diesel fuel. Don't get me started on that fool put in charge of national transportation or the fool(s) that put him there... or the more than obvious reason why.

I hope you have a wonderful train journey!
I have never ridden on a train but I know many things I need and use are transported that way. You know oil is a major rider of trains. Buffett and his donations have seen to that. Bad pipeline bad bad bad. If this creates a spike in diesel fuel our supply chain will be just how Transportation Secretary Buttagig likes it , right up the wrong way of a one way tunnel.

    Several thoughts on this...

    1) Anyone should be able to ask for a raise and more benefits and then quit if not satisfied, not "strike" and prevent someone else from stepping up and taking the job.

    2) Don't these unions realize they are just squeezing an industry (passenger trains) already having financial problems?

    3) I have a train trip from Western NY to Austin, Tx at the end of August and hope they are not on strike then. Oh wait, "fake president Joe Biden" can rule on a 60 day stay of a strike so my trip should not be impacted by a declared strike.

    4) After I'm home I don't care what they do. However, I'll decide if I want to bother with a train trip the next time.
