I strongly agree with your statement that the parties have no place in society. As society has laws that are put in place to protect innocents (school kids) from criminals. These "parties" ignored the law and substituted their ideology, (criminals are victims of the white supremacist police). The only way you cannot be a racist these days is to be deaf, dumb and blind.

I too was in law enforcement and in training. Too bad I got out because training costs money and it was way better to pay high priced idiots at the top than to train those who actually did the jobs.
Train your friends and families who have enough sense to be trained and leave the rest behind IMHO.

If those responsible at the school weren't removed immediately I would remove my children.

N, my brother is a retired police chief who trained, trained, trained his force. He tried to enlist the fire department in the training, citing the fact that if a trained triage team followed behind his officers, casualties would be cut down because of prompt care. The fire chief said no. He didn't want his men in "the line of fire". That chief had better pray there's no situation where his kids or grandkids are involved...come to think of it, he should move to Uvalde. He'd fit right in.

Our county sheriff asked him where his partner was, my x2 was a Lieutenant, and he pulled his shotgun out of the backseat and said, 'Here's my partner'. The sheriff left him completely alone.

I don't understand what happened to the police response in Uvalde. Undertrained officers. My x2 set up the Police Academy in our County College District and took over a 5 college police department as their First District Chief in another Texas city.. He stressed training, training, and training. He was very successful. He served in the Army 20 years and law enforcement 18 years. He was fearless.

I agree with the comment that says that the school administrators involved should each be charged with one count of criminal reckless endangerment for every student and faculty member at the school that day. On top of that, the school district officials who sided with them should also be charged with criminal endangerment, since clearly there was a policy in place - written or otherwise - which enabled the original vice principles for even thinking this was an option.
