Shades of Heinlein's Mrs. 'awkins! Are you ready for the food of the future? This newest lab triumph is now being sold in California and some few restaurants. Is it a save-the-planet victory or a nasty way to remove those poor, polluting cows, chickens and pigs? Either way, it will change our food supply chain and wipe out our farms.

Growing and raising our own is the only way to go. Learning about such things as crop rotation, proper fertilization like composting, processing the results to have stored, usable consumables, Heirloom seeds for future propagation, animal husbandry. Even if you can't farm, your knowledge may just buy a place in a like-minded community.

IMHO, there is NO WAY lab created "meat" can possibly have the vast chemical and protein mix naturally living species can have. There will be many things missing our natural bodies will need for healthy living over time.

"The approval follows an earlier ruling from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) which has declared that laboratory-produced meat is safe for human consumption..." Fine, then YOU eat it FDA! I'll stick with the natural stuff.

If the deep shotters can't get their agenda through one way, they'll add another, and soon there will be so many loose cannons blowing our minds that we won't be able to keep up with them. It's getting close to that now. Every round they fire is grapeshot, mowing down indiscriminately everything in its parh.

It will take a lot more government intervention in the free market to wipe out farms, but I agree that is the intent.
Can't starve the people into submission if there are any uncontrolled sources of food.
"Eat your soylent green and be thankful!"
