Thank you khalling, I miss the overmanwarrior... Here is something that goes with this discussion. Socialism (Communism light) and the Socialist Party of America Platform of 1928. Much has come true... http://libertarianmajority.net/socialist... Regards, O.A.
I haven't ever read Cleon Skousen's "The Naked Communist," but I did read "The Naked Socialist," which was written by Cleon's son, Paul B. Skousen, and which I assume is relatively similar to his father's work.
Honestly, I don't feel like "The Naked Socialist" provided an accurate history or description of socialism/communism. Paul Skousen makes no distinction between fascism, communism, or socialism in his book, and his definition of "socialism" was so broad that it even included medieval guilds and the ancient Mayans. That sort of thinking just leads to confusion about the issue, and does not provide any clarity.
So given the subpar quality of "The Naked Socialist," I have sincere doubts as to whether "The Naked Communist" would be any better -- and judging by Cleon Skousen's list of supposed goals regarding the "Communist Agenda," it probably isn't.
Though I did read Cleon Skousen's "The Cleansing of America," which I consider to be a travesty and a perfect example of hypocrisy and an endorsement of unconstitutional laws, so I'm incredibly suspicious of anything Skousen writes. You can read my review on Amazon.com:
