Thanks for the comments. This gives you a chance to see if you like the novel before you consider purchasing it. Also, I think by now there are 40 or more reviews on Amazon, almost all quite favorable. One reader whom I do not know even said this was now his favorite novel after "Atlas Shrugged." Great, although it isn't even MY favorite novel after Atlas. Maybe his favorite Objectivist-oriented novel after Atlas, a much, much smaller category! If try it, let me know your thoughts.

A nice touch when an author can couch his pollical points in a novel, rather than a straight documentary. Makes the reading more interesting.

And nice touch, naming the "good" character "FAIRfield."

Michael Crichton's best-seller "State of Fear" is a similar production - on the surface a horror novel, deeper, an expose of the machinations of the MIC+Media complex.

Crichton passed away of an unwitnessed and mysterious "heart attack" while walking alone. No autopsy, Similar circumstances with Justice Antonin Scalia's untimely demise

As I explain in a preface to the novel, Fairfield is inspired by the Manhattan Institute senior school, Heather Mac Donald, who ideas are very much those of Fairfield--also Heather Mac Donald's horrendous experience visiting some campuses. Her latest book, "When Race Trumps Merit," may be one of the most important of our time. It really shook me up about our future.

Thanks. I wrote a glowing review of "State of Fear" that appeared both on Savvy Street and the wonderful climate site, What's Up With That. Check it out. Do you really think they have started assassinating "deniers"?

Sounds exciting to me. Isn't it amazing how some people can't take the truth? They'll probably do a book burning but they are so stupid they don't realize that will sell a helluva lot of books. nb
