I finished reading “The Golden Pinnacle” a few weeks ago and finally made time to post a review. This is one of the best books I have ever read. I give it 6 stars in a five star rating. TGP is so entertaining, drawing the reader in making them want more. It’s inspirational and delivers the message that honor and dignity are important virtues. It brought me back to a time when doing the right thing was the only thing to do, even when it is difficult and costly. I highly recommend “The Golden Pinnacle” to everyone. Mr. Gore, keep writing!

No problem, let us know anything you find that works. We are not great at tracking our marketing efforts.

We ran PoJ for $0.99 and then ran some ads, most of which were free and saw a big bounce for us. If you run it for free, take advantage of the free promotion sites at least.

Interesting. I mean Pinnacle certainly can support that. Pinnacle has a number of natural break points and is long enough to do that. Have you tried running part 1 free? With some advertising? I think that might provide more traction, but I am not an expert.

FYI, I wanted to put my review on Amazon but apparently I can only post one review per book. It would not let me. Any thoughts on how I can change that?

I got the idea from some blog on writing. I did not think my $4.99 price was a barrier to sales, but I split them up and made part one 99 cents, as a teaser and to give potential readers a fair sized preview of the book. I have had a few people buy part 1, and I don't know if they bought the rest of the book or not. The number who bought part 1 was very small relative to the number who bought the whole book. I have sold no part 2s or 3s, but weirdly, last month I sold one part 4 and one part 5. All in all, it was a marketing device that was probably not worth the time it took to divide the book and come up with individual descriptions for each part. It resulted in very few sales, even if I assume the part 1s I sold all led to a sale of the entire book. I will not do it for the next book in the trilogy.

I agree that good work cannot be rushed. Don't want my comments to be pressure, simply encouragement. :)

    Hello edweaver,
I quite agree with your review. I am impatiently awaiting the next in the series, but I know good work cannot be rushed.

Click Submit Post on top right of the page and then click "Private Message." A form will come up. On the "To" line address it to sdesapio and it should go through.

To those urging me to write another book, one is in the works. It will continue the Durand saga, which is a projected trilogy. This next book runs from the 1920s to the 1970s. Unfortunately, I am a slow writer and I have to do a lot of research, in addition to keeping up a website (which I'm in the process of upgrading). And for those who think it would make a good movie, send an message to Scott Desapio. I suggested it to him but at the time he was busy with some other project. Now that he's done with that project, he may be more receptive.

Sold! Ought I buy it through Amazon - or do you have a preferred outlet, from which your profit will be greater?

When I was half way though it, I was told it gets even better. I did not know how it could but I can truthfully say that is true. It got even better. In fact I think the ending was left open enough for the saga to continue into present day America. One more time, keep writing Mr. Gore! :)
