Greatest Lack of Self Awareness EVER
(I put this in News because the article is aboutr two people from the MSM. Sorry if that's not the right category.)
Every time I think the left has gone as far into fantasyland as they can go, someone says something that moves the line...again.
This little beaut is from CBS News Correspondent Scott Pelley during an interview with Terry Moran. I'll list a few of the quotes, along with a thought or two.
"In this moment, this moment, this morning, our sacred rule of law is under attack."
Where was the rule of law when the Hildabeast committed Treason by conducting State Dept business on a non-governmental unsecured laptop, and then broke the law by deleting 30K emails? Or when the government (in one of the most insidious moves ever) in return for a guilty plea on a very minor charge, tried to give Hunter the same blanket immunity that his dad ultimately gave him? And where was the rule of law when Trump was politically prosecuted for a business transaction where nobody was out anything, which was sworn to under oath by all parties involved?
"Journalism is under attack."
No, biased reporting is under attack. Every damned MSM outlet is under attack for following the marching orders from the DNC rather than doing their jobs, which is to report facts. The profession of journalism is not under attack; the way all of these douche bags practice it is what's under attack.
"Universities are under attack."
Only if you're Jewish. Or conservative. Or religious. Actually, these groups aren't attacking the universities; the universities are attacking them.
"Freedom of speech is under attack."
Oh, really? What was it called when the government worked with social media to supress anything related to Hunter's laptop? What was it called when anyone who didn't drink the COVID kool-aid was literally silenced, often times losing jobs, friends, and family? What was it called when people praying silently outside of abortion clinics were arrested for "intimidating" people going into those clinics?
"And insidious fear is reaching through our schools, our businesses, our homes and into our private thoughts, the fear to speak in America. "
Yeah. Try to promote a conservative point of view in school, and you'ree not only shut down by the school's administration, you're suspended from school. Decline to be vaccinated with an experimental drug and you were ostracized, and you could have job taken away.
When I read that article, I damn near lost my mind. I honestly do not understand how someone who could actually say that shit with a straight face could ever survive life long enough to reach adulthood.
I'll get off my soapbox now....

This may signal the end of Conscious Introspection in the Human Species.
It could be that they grew up with only having four channels (three networks and an independent station, at least that's how it was in central Indiana), and so they didn't have any cause to doubt what they saw. Since that's what they grew up with, they're comfortable with it. Changing that perspective would require them to do the research themselves, and objectively weigh what they find, and decide from that whether or not their beliefs are true or false.
Or, it could be as simple as "If Trump said it, it's wrong. If it makes Trump look bad, it's good."
The first reason makes them lazy. The second makes them...well, it still makes them lazy.
Guess I just answered my own question.
