I put these here early because I won't be around tomorrow at the usual time. I have to drive my Wife and Mother-in-Law to Maine and return with the Wife only!, (an 8 +hour excursion)
If I survive and actually make it back home, I will title, Publish and send out email Hails.

Keep me in your prayers!

These were the best of the Crop. We deserve to ROTFLOAO (roll on the floor laughing our asses off)

Could you eventually tell us why the Mother in Law didn’t make it back? Maybe some pointers, lessons learned, what not to do? LOL.
    Great as usual.

We left her there and ran back to the car and sped away!!!
Seriously. she has severe dementia but thought she was ok and would not have willing gone.
Ex of behavior: She worried about a little pill we gave her every night so in the middle of the day she went out into the street in a busey shoreline neighborhood screaming: HELP HELP ME,SOMEBODY HELP ME, called 911. Not to mention, she lost everything we gave her, phones, tv remotes, medicine etc.
      The same thing every day.

She is in a beautiful place even though we don't think shes sane enough to enjoy it.

Me big brother dino had 4 little brothers, #1 is me, of course, followed by #2, #3, #4 and #5,
Meme #6 top reminded me of gross behavior exhibited by brother #3 when he was about that some age.
Recall how he would pick his nose and eat the booger right in front of me and brother #2.
Brother #2 and I would yell such things as "Yuck!"
What did brother #3 do? He would smile and pick out another snack!
Until I saw meme #6, me dino had forgotten all about that for decades!
It's like this~~who in his right mind would want to remember that?!?!

I know there are well intentioned, hopefully harmless jokes. I suppose dementia SHOULD be off limits. I respect what you and your wife are going through. It has to be tough.
We are 70. We got married at 18. Really. My mother in law used to run me out of her yard when I was 14 and interested in all of her beautiful daughters. I kept going back…
So, anytime you can get your mother in law in a car-for a “trip”. Do it.

Seriously OGC - Have a safe trip! Have done the drive to Maine many times, but from central GA as opposed to Birmingham -
Again travel safe - that is quite the trip.

Toooooooo funny! That cat looks like one of mine, and, yes, he would press that button just to be a cat. Loved them all! Hope you made it home safely. When someone has dementia, the only thing that helps is finding some humor in the situation. I know. My hubby had Alzheimer's. I was lucky because he never turned mean, never lost his sense of humor. I miss him beyond what words can convey. Thanks for that humor you share here, Carl.
