George Orwell’s book “1984” has been coming to life for a long time. It is also Hillary’s favorite!

I just started reading 1984 to get away from non-fiction for a bit. Is this a spoiler?

Remember subliminal popcorn ads at the movies? We're being subliminally programmed to be a corps of good informant citizens for the good and security of the homeland... Just like the government wants.

The key word is "now"... of course, since that was in the past, the current "now" is long past the then "now", so they can say they were being honest, even if their intended span of "now" was 10 seconds...

In the post 9/11 America people seem to be willing to give up any freedom if the government convinces them it will keep them safe.

It will probably be used for ads and announcements first. The first time a crime is commited near one of these lights someone will argue that if audio and visual recordings were made we could have caught the criminal. As always it will be phased in over time in order to keep us safe.

This is surreal. The Feds funded this. They say they have no plans to record images now. Once these things are in place it's Big Brother time.
