Where was this level of scrutiny when our Dear Leader was a mere State Senator and candidate for the Presidency?

It's amazing to me how anyone resembling a conservative gets the extreme proctologic examination versus The One who skated into office without any semblance of vetting.

Obama was a state senator in Illinois from 1996 to 2004. He was elected to the U.S. Senate in 2004. He was a U.S. senator from Illinois, not a state senator, while he was a candidate for the presidency.

Allosaur, the "sign of things to come" was
the day the Golfer was elected, if not before,
    during his campaign.

Is proctologic examination the same as rectal scope?

Especially, if he is just reading a teleprompter. Then speaking his lines is his only talent. Sorta like an actor.

I am saying that is what we NEED, not what we are getting. As long as cronyism is allowed in our government, it has to degenerate to what we have now.

Its amazing to me that people would actually vote for her. Speaks terribly for the level of intellectual prowess among San Francisco voters.

I remember being educated. Turns out what I learned was pretty much a pretty fantasy.

All that wasted time memorizing dates and bills congress passed for the good of the peeples.

Ah yes. Remember who controlled congress? And who can forget Madamn Pelosi saying "You've got to vote for it to find out what's in it? Kinda like opening a box that is ticking to see what's inside.

I was involved in politics in Illinois for over 20 years. I had friends in the state legislature who told me that Obama was a good speaker but he can't pour piss out of a boot if the instructions were written on the heal. The problem with this country is that people relate the ability to speak well with intelligence, which are not related at all.

Yes, we got Obamacare without them even reading the bill prior to passing it.

In answer to the original question.

The intense scrutiny was reserved solely to attempt to cause combustion or even better self immolation on every republican candidate.

No effort could be spared to look at the ONE, plus the fear of being labeled racist headed off any inclination to dig into his past.

I very much agree with you. Many of the voters today are just too lazy or too, um, intellectually challenged to seek out the facts required to make their vote an informed one.

Funny you should say that... the CEO of the company that manages my IRAs keeps saying that Gridlock in Washington is the best possible scenario for the stock market because Congress can't do much to muck up the economy!

And he keeps being right about that!

Thank you for educating term2 to a past reality. i think it is unfortunate that you are not educated to the ways of government and how these civil servants commonly referred too as congressmen and president interact. keep in mind they are birds of a feather. regardless who they are when they open their mouths they are lying. that said it is irrelevant which of them regardless of party is there they will always do what they think is in THEIR best interest, not yours. this is how it has been since lincoln was the president and what causes you to think that "a good administrator" will ever come along and do what is in the best interests of the country?

So, we can elect a non-citizen, but if you don't have a college degree, you're out!
