you should get a copy of "THE COOLING" HAS THE NEXT ICE AGE ALREADY BEGUN? CAN WE SURVIVE IT? by Lowell Ponte. I believe it will answer some questions for you.
As for the possibility of another ice age, I do want to mention that in about 3600BC the temperature dropped and farming (which was about 3-6K years old at the time) became impossible as far south as Central Europe. This temperature drop is thought to have happened in the span of a single year.
I am not an icer; certainly not a warmist. It would be interesting to see a new Ice Age, though...
