"Science"? I tend to connect "science" with things like running double-blind controlled experiments to Test Theories...

"Economics"=?="Science".... doesn't get my vote. But hey, get a degree, get funding, make money anyway...

Through my MBA I've learned that tax manipulation (policy), and a multitude of government regulations (control) of the labor, products and environment are the complicated ingredients in economics. For the "professors," it gets even worse, as they have to pretend to explain why microeconomics does not track macroeconomics, which is driven by redistribution principles instead of economics. If you remove all that crap, wouldn't you agree that the science of calculating which widget to produce and when to do it is fairly straight forward?

Thanks for the chuckle, don't know which is my favorite, the clouds or why women live longer. Tough one. Unfortunately the Ruger one is just...true.

You hear about the man that fell into a lens grinding machine and made a spectacle of himself?

Actually, humor aside, economics is a very straight forward and simple science. That is, if using economics the goal is to predict the actions and reactions of the economy. The confusion and complication enter only when under the guise of economics one tries to influence politics.

I have a competition one that is a joy to shoot and right on. One of the first guns I bought myself is a Security Six snubbie - once I got rid of the pretty rosewood grips and put on some nice sticky ones, I can't miss with it. Auto-loaders? with the exception of the .22, don't fit my hand and I think they're ugly.

Me neither. (But if I did, at least the couch would have a padded landing...)

"If you laid all the economists in the world, end to end, they wouldn't reach a conclusion."

    Does that help?
