Saw this coming...you get in your car and if they want you, you stop at the precinct. Driving is freedom...no thanks.

    I would dearly like one of these. Imagine reading a good book while your car takes you where you want to go. Safer than driving yourself.

    And, of course, as we age it means still being able to get around without having to get someone to drive us.

    I'd bet taxi companies at first. Even so the prospect of not controlling the vehicle and it being redirected where someone else wants me is something I can live without.

    I saw one of these driving around Dallas a few weekends back. People were trying to pull up to it to stare into the vehicle--likely the cause a few of the accidents. My first question was why would Google put so much money into figuring out this tech? What is the end goal (is it just profit?) My next question was if Google began to manufacture these, who would buy them? We shall see.
