I might have a repeating rifle and a dark room with
a laser to blind those with night-vision. . I might
want to exclude those with an assault force, after
the dog barked to announce their arrival. -- j

p.s. the dog is usually in the master bedroom,
and the other things might be closer to a point of entry.

I'm not sure how you can be more prepared. The average dog is going to act aggressively to a home invasion. And, really, you sort of want them to.

When the home invasion is an assault force from the police department, they are going to kill your dog. What preparations can you make?

In my book, The Fight for Conscious Human Life, I identify the only true division in society; Those that have a conscience and those that have not, essentially. The latter, I call, Parasitical Humanoids. Well it seems we need another division; Humanoidal Bullies, these creatures have no conscience or testicles... for that matter.

Looks like this person had something coming...but not this.

It also looks like neither she or the dog are black. As I said before, the problem is NOT racism. The problem is police overstepping their scope. This problem is widespread and rampant, and the issues with poor people, often black, are the canary in the coal mine.

CircuitGuy notes the issue is "the Militarization of the Police". I believe Militarization is yet another symptom, not the root cause, but I agree with him it is bad.

these folks remind me of my favorite millionaire --
so frugal that he wouldn't have a family dog. . yet,
code requirements which make no sense don't
get through his BS filter. . he thinks, "So what if
    they require such-and-such?" -- j

there are some homes where the dogs' owners
would be more prepared. . this is sick. -- j

p.s. why would a law require grid sparks and gas?

Words never fail the dino when he decides to post.
    Here's one: Overreaction
    Here's two: Excessive force.
    Here's two more: Police state.
Here's two plus two: Welcome to Nazi America!
Here's seven: Making a mountain out of a molehill.
For some reason, this bullying punitive raid makes me think of sending a hungry allosaur to check out city code violations.

I take care of dogs for a living and family raised pit bulls are no more aggressive than a golden retriever. The swat team clearly overreacted and I might have fired back if they went after one of my pets if given half a chance. On another level, these people have had many problems in the past so there is a prior record with "authorities." This is NOT an excuse to kill the family dog.

You're refering to this (the destruction) in the future tense? I would use the past tense. The only thing left is to admit it to ourselves.

This is one little example of how the militarization of the police risks destroying the US. I'm not being hyperbolic. The drug war plus militarization of the police plus the notion of turning to the gov't for all little middle-class problems risks destroying the republic.
