Dude, you take things way to serious. Good way to give yourself a cardiac infarction. Oh well, I guess I need to go inform her you have made the decision that she is an "it" too.

Might want to wait for the 2nd or 3rd put down shot before you try to aim for the crotch. Hope he's still conscious at that point.

Oh, and no disrespect meant H, I just don't take most things very serious, especially "winning" meaningless debates.

Fine. Whatever you say. You are right as always H. I am humbled by your wisdom.

Now, I must go inform my 6 year old that her intent to have fun is really practice for killing.

The reason I prefer lighter shot is that I do not have to worry about penetrating walls and possibly endangering people on the other side of the wall (I have kids and a small home). With #9 unless I am very close to the wall and miss the guy I am shooting at entirely a few pellets will not go through. Of course I have an auto without a plug so it has 7 rounds and I have no issue with a coup de gras after the guy is down though as stated before the wound would inflict sufficient trauma that the guy would likely die of shock quickly.

Looks interesting but I think I will stick with my 12 Ga. loaded with #9 bird shot. Yes I know that is an awfully small shot size but I will respond that if I turn the first 2 or 3 inches depth of your chest to hamburger across an area the size of a pie pan. The damage is sufficient to stop anyone not to mention that the impact will knock anyone off their feet and move them across a room violently. Plus my ammo of choice is cheap and doesn't over penetrate. Additionally the impact of a 12 Ga at close range while it will not penetrate body amour it packs enough punch to disable at least temporally someone wearing body amour.

At nearly point blank ranges that make up most defense situations the difference in trajectory is only of interest for the last decimal place...

My suggestion would be to end practice with a slightly hotter load. I practice with 38 in my Ruger Secutiry 6 but go to the full .357 loads at the end of practice.

Me too at least until more data is in. I am wondering though if this would not be an excellent round for .380 or .25 ACP. I know they have no plans to make .25 now, but it could bring some much needed power to pocket pistols.
