Redistribution of Wealth...Our Moral Obligation

As I was talking to a colleague of mine, she mentioned something that ate at my core, though I held it in and talked to her like a rational being. Economics was brought up in our conversation. She said this: "The solution to our economic problems is to redistribute the wealth. It would keep the rich from becoming richer and the poor from becoming poorer. It is our moral obligation to keep fellow man in check." I sat there, cringing, trying to form words. All I could muster was this: "So you wish the movers of the world to give up their profits? You realize that would ruin business and only further worsen the economy. And give the unproductive being undeserved cash? Are you trying to encourage laziness?" I then placed a copy of Atlas Shrugged, one I had on my person, on her table. As a final goodbye I told her, "Be careful what you wish for." I then departed.

No, we had been discussing some things so I had brought my laptop and guess what I had apparently left in my bag? So, I put it to good use.

That's probably your best option and well worth the cost of a book.
