Radio Interrupted is a live show. During showtime, 1PM - 2PM ET, please participate in the real-time conversation on the Gulch Activity Feed: http://www.galtsgulchonline.com/activ...

HOW IT WORKS:
1. At 1PM ET, go to the Gulch Activity feed: http://www.galtsgulchonline.com/activ...
2. At the top, you'll see a "Gulch Live" box.
3. Type your comment, submit, and poof, your comment will be automatically injected into the stream - along with everyone else's comments as well.

NOTE
- For the best experience, post your comments in the Activity Feed. If you post your comments here, you'll not see the live stream responses and things might get a little confusing.
- When addressing someone on the feed, consider using @membername to address them directly or no one will no who you're talking to.
- All comments submitted to the feed will automatically be added to this post.

Well, I try to be a man of principle. Sometimes, according to others in the Gulch, I have the wrong principles. Other times I do things that I probably shouldn't have done, not intentionally but still non-optimal.

Strugatsky thought that Rand Paul was evasive. I can't say I disagree, but in his position, you must be SO careful.

I am one of those deniers because their argument is more like "The effect causes the cause." At the risk of being suspended for a day, the climate change argument is bassackwards. Your argument was reasonable.

By the way, as a scientist, let me know what you thought of my absurdist correlation = causation argument.

For the type of forum, yes I think he was direct enough.
However there were areas in which I would have liked him to clarify.

Hey Rick. Did you think Senator Paul was direct enough and specific enough in his responses?

Remember in AS the group of connected people who got things done when no one else could 'fixers?' Professional Grant writers reminded me so much of that portion of the book.

You should repudiate that portion of the debt, Michael. Gracias for your time in Vietnam.

The question that Rand Paul answered for me: Focus on the economy, debt, etc.

Where was all this government concern when the tail end Vietnam era retirees found out their Vietnam GI Bill was zilched? 1988 I had three months to use up four years of benefits and was told TS you should have signed up and qualified under the other one. Why? Wasn't blood enough payment? I didn't let the door hit me in the ass either. Just paid for it myself. In return I've decided to repudiate a fair share portion of the national debt.

Regarding the "grant orgy", it is a major sacrifice to my career not going after grant money so that I can do my work in good conscience.

Not only is Rand Paul right on college tuition, he doesn't go far enough. The lack of "affordability" of college is largely due to the fact that it is so highly financed by taxpayers. The cost of college is about $35K per year. Most people aren't seeing that cost, however.

Sunspots are what cause anomalies in Earth's temperature.
The danger associated with global warming was based on correct free radical organic chemistry of ozone depletion with halogenated molecules, and was a real concern when the ozone hole became a fact. It is no longer an issue. Those who are environmental extremists are 50 years behind the actual science.

Regulatory environment is one of the main avenues that the government uses to extend its reach deeper and deeper in to everything they can.
