The only major party candidate with ANY liberty credentials. I'd prefer his father, but Rand is by far the best of all those running with the exception of the Libertarian candidate.

"I'd prefer his father, but Rand is by far the best of all those running with the exception of the Libertarian candidate"
I agree about him and his father. He's also the only candidate who I suspect is starting with a vision (right or wrong) of American values.

Most politicians I think are cool kids who like attention and will generally vote according to their constituents' and donors' letters. I don't mean that to condemn them. It's actually good that we have a system where most leaders look to what the people want. But it's better if they have a vision consistent with the US Constitution of how to get there.

I wonder if maybe Bernie Sanders has an underlying vision. If so, it's one I mostly disagree with. Some of the clips I've seen give the impression maybe he believes what he's saying beyond just taking positions that reflect his supporters'. This is moot since I don't agree with the vision b/c I see it as involving gov't providing a handout to the middle-class.

If we're just playing games with presidential candidates, then I hope it's Hillary, [partial sarcasm]score another point for the good guys![/sarcasm] She's supposedly a real liberal, knows how to execute in Washington, and is probably more tied to people close to me than any other candidate, all things that I consider pluses. But if we're not playing games, if we're concerned about the long-term effects of a stronger executive branch, re-interpretation of the Constitution. and looking to gov't to address every problem, real things that could change the course of history, Rand Paul blows everyone else away.

I have met and spoken personally with senator Paul. He is a good man, a true Tea Party supporter. He would be a great "kick-ass" President to turn Washington upside-down. I have yet to find any issue that he & I disagree on. Want more? Read his book, "Government Bullies."

I agree...I met with Ron and Rand, stand up guys. When Rubio and Cruz were working on their campaigns and immigration reform bills, Rand was filibustering or off doing Doctor's w/out Border work. Maybe that's why Obama had the Afghan Hospital blown up [over the weekend] w/all the American Doctors with out Borders inside...awarning

I will vote for Rand Paul if he makes it to the election. Otherwise, its Trump if HE makes it to the republican primary or the election. After those two, I am losing interest fast, but I would vote for pretty much anyone if Hillary or Sanders makes it to the general election. I cant stand them (particularly HIllary because she is a snake- At least Sanders tells you who he is), and would only vote in order to keep either of them from winning.

That is where I am currently at in mine own cogitations. The only other thing I can say is that there is still time left to for people to become stars...or make an idiot of themselves.

And I will vote as if my vote counted, even though I will be doing no more than neutralizing one of the votes of the liberals around me.

$5Au has been surprised that Rand P. has not garnered more support in the polls. Obviously, part of the Libertarian vote is going elsewhere. Any of you know where? Cruz maybe?

I expect several others to drop out first, namely Kasich, Christie, Gilmore, Graham, Huckabee, Jindal, Pataki and Santorum.

That would leave the more viable (monetarily) candidates.

My favorites (in no particular order): Paul, Cruz, Carson

Courage and tenacity are Senator Paul's hallmarks. I don't think he has a chance, but I can't help admire the way he sticks to his guns. He is a man whose leadership I could fall in line behind. Go, Randall, at least you'll help clear a path for those who follow after you.

Rand may be as close to Objectivist as any candidate, but I think his policy on foreign policy makes him unacceptable to us Objectivists. He needs to drop out.

I do think he needs to go to the kiddie table for the next debate. He'll get more face time and it might propel him like it did Fiorina.
I've done my bit, I've donated a number of times this year. Bitcoin of course. I would like to see the numbers of how much he has collected via bitcoin.
And I've my Rand Paul sticker on my Cadillac (right under my WiJG sticker). Maybe that isn't as significant as a Dead Head Sticker on a Cadillac.

Carly got her bump from the MSM pushing for her. She is on the Board of 3 groups that work w/ or under the Clinton foundation; yet she never mentioned that when asked on Hannity, she actually said she had no ties to the Clinton's.
