So, doctors will have to report our medical records to the Office of the National Coordinator of Health Information. Anyone want to take bets on how long it takes for the Feds to start abusing this database?

    You know, I got a Cold War Appreciation letter that was signed by then Secretary of Defense William Cohen for being part of the DOD that helped in ending the Cold War with the USSR.

    Did we really 'win'? It doesn't appear so.

    We are living in East Germany~with 21st technology. F-this. What sort of meaningful future can I expect my grandchildren to receive?

    I remember discussing this with my friend who was the business manager for a large cardiology group. It requires a huge software investment provided by one company (crony much?) And to incentivize participation there was a huge one time tax credit to offset the investment. I asked about the privacy issue. She said not only privacy but the system is designed to calculate when you shoul
    d have certain tests or procedures and physicals. If your doctor does not get you to comply with say getting a papsmear, that has to be documented in your file endangering your ongoing coverage. It "s going to be lockstep folks
