The bat represents the death of ignorance, something Padre Nacho cared about. "Bichi is also the local word for uncovered or naked. They even have a Bichi Burger down in San Carlos or a diet hamburger. In this case it meant something far different. But the use of the word exemplifies the contempt Padre Nacho felt for people who reveled in ignorance and he was preaching to Mexicanos.
Nacho built the original statue it is reported, with his own hands then with others pitching in and helping. Not by being asked nor harangued from a pulpit such as this one. Because ONE individual made a difference and because it was the RIGHT thing to do. That stopped the border riots dead and cold in their tracks.

In any case this is the introduction to Un-redefining The Facts in what should be a two or three part lesson in history on what simple yet heavily distorted terms such as left, center, right, conservative, liberal, extremist and moderate have become. Funny part is ....they are almost back where they started....sort of.
In studying history one learns to connect the dots. Ask questions. "If this is true then how did that happen?" I put that in to piss off a certain group of people who I routinely ignore. Demagogues, Bigots, and those who deal in false assumptions, twisted facts, untruths, and re-definitions. Those who can't identify the dots much less connect them. If you are pissed off at that so what? I don't need to identify those who can identify themselves. They have their own moral or immoral values to contend with. Not my problem.

As for Jim Webb, I was impressed that he chose to run as an Independent, rather than trying to ride on the shirttails of the Republican party. I don't expect he will go far, but if there weren't a better choice...
We've had some good people come from the Liberal ranks, once their eyes were opened. I understand that Charlton Heston was a flaming Liberal, long before he was the famous president of the NRA.
There may be some hope for Webb, yet...especially if his comments, during the "debate" where sincere.
The Rs have no need to do what Webb is doing, its his cesspit to wade in or out of.

I'm going to seriously watch and consider what Webb is doing and gauge how many of the Donkeys will follow and then how many of the non RINOS. For sure those numbers subtracted from their winner takes all philosophy is threatened. Add the breakaways, disenfranchised and independents he might pose a more serious threat to the status quo establishment one party crowd and blow the whole thing up in their face.
Assuming the bimbo parade etc doesn't begin. I see the same flaw in all the so called two major party candidates. Both parties are sadly deficient and both are left wing socialist fascist either corporatist, statist or both.
None of the splinter parties like Libertarians are offering much .....might be time to light the fuse.
Don't much care if its C4 or Semtex as long as it does the job at the ballot box. Come to think of it Semtex seems to be more favored in the two faced Government Party.
