Rush Reveals BIG Story He's 'Been Holding' To See If Media Would Cover (It Didn't)
Again, Rush is on target. Sad commentary, but true.

While we're very happy to have you in the Gulch and appreciate your wanting to fully engage, some things in the Gulch (e.g. voting, links in comments) are a privilege, not a right. To get you up to speed as quickly as possible, we've provided two options for earning these privileges.
Democrat :: Socialist
Sic transit gloria Bill of Rights
LEAVE THE GOP. Form a new small government pro-liberty party. Leave the "politicians" behind.
The DEBT is NOT The Problem. Deficit Spending is the Problem and so long as the US can pay the Interest On The Loans Covering The Debt, we're all OK.
Proof? The Debt Limit has been approached AND raised over a hundred times since its creation, and we're still here. Only Two Countries have formal Debt Limits, and the US is One Of Them (I believe the other is world-commerce-giant Denmark.)
So the Debt Limit is really a Red Herring.
Republicans look to the Bible and God for direction and don't seem to shrink any government programs or agencies, despite all their empty talk.
Democrats LOVE to see the size of government programs and agencies Increase because they really believe, down wherever their hearts are, that Joe Six-Pack really Needs help from the government to make any kind of social or economic decisions.
Both sides suck, as far as I can tell, and Both Sides share the 'blame' for "How we got here."
In terms of last night's Republican Debate, it reminded me of something I said after the Debates of the Last Presidential Election...
ANY of the Republican candidates might make a good president, but ONLY IF ALL of the Other Candidates were named to the new president's Cabinet.
None of which will happen.
Good luck to all of us.
I agree with you assessment that any one of R candidates might make a good president, but ONLY IF ALL of the others are in the cabinet. If they would let their egos do that sort of thing.
Ah, RevJay... are you 'the one in Raleigh'?
Don't listen to the insane.
one in!
Any organization can be changed. But it takes leadership, not followership. Re-fighting the Civil War and/or punishing the GOP over the war's origins is absurd. That ended 150 years ago.
The war ended 150 years ago, and the GOP has kept up the same traitorous activity.
If a trial could be held and justice delivered, the GOP party should be disbanded just for their corrupt, traitorous actions in the past 50 years alone. (Ditto for the democrats.)
But...why don't you give them just sob one. sniff more....boo hoo...chance...wail.. they deserve it.
Over time? Their time is over.
They don't and and we for sure didn't deserve the shafting they gave us.
Seig Me No Heils Comrade. I do NOT serve the party.
I feel fully chastened.
My punishment will be how crappy I feel after imbibing a shot of single malt. Luckily, the crappy feeling doesn't kick in for an hour or two
I was just thinking that we might be able to preserve the remnant of the 2 party system, but I'll leave that problem to all you youngsters, and I'll just slide along until I get to that Great Gulch in the sky..
Each coalition is joined by those with that one common factor Constitution is the center. Factions, splinter parties, independents are all free to go on any particular subject in true partisan fashion but generally join together on all the questions of like interest. Some vote fed some contra-fed. But the two party system is a two coalition system.and smart leaders will share cabinet positions and other important posts thus allowing everyone a seat at the table.
Those who don't wish to join the coalition or opt out on some issue of importance to them do not have one toe in the center much less two feet. Those that do are centrists. Those that don't or don't occasionally are still withini a fast running leap in true emergencies.
Then their are those on the fringes. Unlike today they don't have the ability to slide in the back door and take any postions of power. Too extremist and hold no loyaty to the country much less it's center of national discourse.
When they attempt to present themselves as something they are not such as ACLU and the secular progressives every one knows it and makes sure their daughters are not going out with any of the offspring. Each side has them. Anarchists on the one side and National/International socialists on the other side. Zero government versus Government as a God.
But life in the center goes on and once common ground is agreed upon changes are made then the minor issues are brought forth. I like this part. Since we have 50 locations with 50 sets of local laws and that does not mean the other 49 have to change to suit a minority. those who still don't like it have complete freedom of not letting the door hit them in the ass. Thus Oregon can change it's name to New Amsterdam since New York is no longer using it and for their own post-modern reasons even though they can't articulate them very well.
One more group those who are perfectly happy letting the rest take care of the politics and don't register. Fine. No problem there.
And I see I've run out of time. That mechanism for change I spoke of earlier. Amendments passed by a majority. Not ignorant ignoring or arrogant dictators assuming powers that...funny enough.... are mentioned nowhere in the Constitution.
You see our illustrious Obey Me was never a Constitutional Scholar. He is however an Anti-Constitutional Activist
There's your two party system an the more they wrangle and argue the better off the rest of us are.
Add recall and extend that to the 'delegates' of each of the fifty states. pretty soon your talking real democracy and a real Republic.
You realize of course I have just crossed the line and become a traitor to national and international fascist socialism. Not really. I never took an oath to them.
"To preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States of America against all enemies foreign OR domestic. I take this oath without purposes of evasion." Nothing in our oath said to the best of my ability. Combat soldiers realize 'good try' is the same as failure.
Seig me no Heils Comrade. I do NOT serve the party.
Now I must forget the idea of dulling my pain and actually think about what I can do to slow the decline of this country.
I'm in mescal and agave country....we use it instead of beer in the clamato. or with a bunch of limes. We also do Cuba's. Cuba in the USA is La Mentira. Both recognize the fact that Cuba isn't free the USM (Mexico) people figured that out before we did. So...since cuba isn't free Cuba Libre's are not possible. Agave and mescal are local sources of starter medicine such as the tequila variations. the final press of agave plant is distilado de agave. No es por timidos. Not for the weak. But the trick is half shots. Kinda like learning to use salsa. Extra hot is not for gringos or beginners. for border people, both sides, or south of the border people hot an extra hot along with a dose of canela which is cinnamon in the morning coffee is the best antidote to many medicinal problems flu and colds for example. Must work havent had the first and only a touch of the second in many years and that was from visiting north of the border.
Thanks for the memories, Michael, haven't thought of those days in decades.
I went to Gitmo several as in 4 to 7 times delivering fuel on a tanker ship.Wherever the part mostly in the news is located we didn't or couldn't get close. USA is still paying rent every year and Cuba is still not cashing the checks and ....is still not free. so we keep saying Cuba in Mexico and La Mentira everywhere else. Except for liberal lefties who aren't much interested in the concept of human freedom.
Left = Government Over Citizens by any means necessary.
Center = The constitution.
Center of the Left - Divides the left wing of the left and the right wing of the left. Being in the left's right wing does not make them Constitutional Centrists nor welcome in the camp of those who believe in Citizens, Country, Government as temporary employees ALWAYS under control of the citizens.
The supporters of any portion of the left are moochers, looters, enablers and apparatciks. When they took their oath of offfice did it include without purposes of evasion? They have done nothing but.
Right - Gov't intrudes into every area of life, making society like one huge jail, but at least we're safer. If you ever felt like someone gave you grief in life, you can take comfort that gov't is giving some poor bastard more grief than you got. If you failed at things in life, you can blame it on that poor bastard instead of on yourself.
Left - Gov't stops intruding except to stop things like racism and poverty. (not possible, but this is the theory) Then everyone lives as one happy family. If you ever felt like someone gave you grief in life, you can know you're morally superior to them. If you failed at this in life, it's "the system" or "the super wealthy", not your fault.
Center - I hate politics and gov't. It's just people shamlessly pandering to people's weaknesses and failings for personal gain.
networks,(plus maybe that public channel), and
where it seemed that all three spoke with the same
voice; all were "liberal", and supposedly enlightened
; and, as for any mention of Ayn Rand, she was
considered a nut. I do not languish for that
situation to return.
Romney wants to see himself as the secret heir-apparent to the Democrats, allowing a change of name of the reigning party, but preserving the same ideology. This requires that both parties be on the same team, and pass the baton back and forth occasionally to indicate the token presence of a two-party system.
All is not lost (said ironically), because what this is actually about is 'power'. Were the shoe on the other foot, and Conservatism the popular philosophy, you would see the same migration happening to the Liberals. The most difficult thing to obtain is a set of parties that have distinctly different philosophies, even if one of them is not 'winning' at the moment. All that Romney is saying is, "I want to Win."

You must go outside of your comfort zone and take action if you want change.
I totally agree with your statement, "You must go outside of your comfort zone and take action if you want change"
The last was a quote from Field of Dreams. it was a left wing air head liberal that said it.
Play ball!
