6 Fictional Lands We Should Bomb Once We're Done With Agrabah

Ever wonder why it's so difficult to discuss anything of significance with not only Liberals, but also Conservatives?

The results of a recent poll might give us a clue:
"Bomb bomb bomb, bomb bomb... Agrabah? While U.S. airstrikes in Syria continue to dominate foreign-policy headlines, the Republican electorate won't so easily forget about another Middle Eastern menace. According to a new poll from Public Policy Polling, 30 percent of Republican voters nationally support bombing Agrabah. Just 13 percent are opposed, while the rest remain unsure.

Agrabah, for the record, is not actually a real country. It's the name of the magical kingdom where the Disney movie Aladdin takes place."

Answer: "And how do you feel about that?"

Answer "Interesting but what is more interesting is...?"

Answer "I see my time has run out. My committee meets in five minutes."

Answer "What committee? The one I'm going to head after winning this election?"

Answer? "Thanks for coming I learned a lot from your incite-ful slant.

Fred makes an excellent point. Remember the "ambush" questions that reporters try on candidates, so they can later say "he doesn't even know [the detail] - what kind of president doesn't know that?!" The did it for Bush, Palin, and most of the Repubs in the 2012 cycle as I remember. No "man on the street" would want to sound that dumb, for sure!

Although this time j.mp/1PphIYw it went horribly wrong for the talking head.

You I did a Google search for the gullible and I could not find a definition! Anyway, if someone ask you should we bomb Agrabah. Your thought is unlikely to be: "does Agrabah even exist?"

You might give the questioner correct for knowing about Agrabah. Assuming you don't already know it doesn't exist. Being gullible, does mean you are stupid? No, It just means you a little trusting of pollsters.

My point is people support for bombing Agrabah says little to nothing about their other opinions. I think just pointing out that is strong support for a muslim database is enough to be concerned. But saying they are stupid doesn't solve anything.

I think an article that talks what people hope a Muslim database would accomplish would be more interesting.

Not the members of the United Brotherhood of Flight Deer, Sleigh Maintainers, Harness Riveters, and Coal Lumpers, local # 32, AFL-CIO.

The Elves were going to go on strike, but the icicles they had their picket signs on melted thanks to Global Warming...

Laughing but in a sad way...seems that those we have chosen, counted on; have caved and lost their minds. It's amazing how the events of the day so closely correlate to recurring cosmic events...guess the advent of a mind is not enough to control the brain against these events.

However, what truly amazes me is that 'some of us' have retained disciplined thought and control.

Maybe it is we, the nameless, that have a responsibility to save the day. That opens up more questions than we have answers for right now.

I'll be reading: The Fourth Turning in the hopes of getting a handle on these cycles.

Let them all in. The gov't is going to need to pony up lots of stuff for these people. Think of all the opportunities for moochers.

Here are few more fictional lands that could use a few bombs:

Elbonia, a comic strip land where everyone lives in waist deep mud.

Bananastan, a South American country transplanted into the Middle East.

Syrias, a Middle East country that we cannot make up our minds about.

Lesbebon, a Middle East country comprised only of women.

Dadsbag, an ancient land filled with mysticism.

Irack, an ancient country that keeps racking 'em up and knocking 'em down.

Rusha, a country of people with weak bladders.

Manygerm, a country in need of antiseptic.

The theme song for this is Bombaloo sung by Desi Arnaz. (Youngsters, ask your mom or dad.)

Just a little humor. Merry New Year and happy Christmas.

I'd like to see a poll question asking whether the military should designate Karastan as a bombing target because Karastan flying carpets would violate no-fly zones. I'm sure some substantial fraction of the voting public would approve.

However, Karastan is not a middle eastern country. It's a brand of carpeting. Textile manufacturer, Marshall Field, made its first Karastan rug in North Carolina, taking it off the loom at 2:02 p.m., April 8, 1928.

I'm sure, if they'd polled democrats, that 75% would have voted for aid or refugee status.
