Yes, she's talented. I actually like her music, yet don't like the genre. I always am drawn to the geniuses like that. Don't like punk, but love the Sex Pistols. Not into jazz...but like Miles Davis. Etc...

New respect for the "LadyG". Went to her tribute to Frank. Just outstanding. And, OMG, she's pretty, too. Whodda thunk it? LadyG may have a new older fan in me.

I certainly didn't expect that from Lady Caca. I'll have to reevaluate my thoughts on her.

every artist believes that only they have the creative ability to add to the melody. Its such a bargain! They give us all those extra notes at no charge! I didn't agree with his majesty regarding Mozart's work, but it accurately describes these "artistic license" changes to the anthem, "Too Many Notes." (grin)

Lady Gaga's version is far from the greatest offender.
    Of course, observations vary.
Some will even still vote for a GOP hand-picked presidential candidate no matter how many times the GOP betrays their trust.

"Just stop the yodeling and sing the melody as written."
    Thank you—Thank you—Thank you!
At a Super Bowl party I attended, several of us discussed this very point. All agreed that it is disrespectful to sing it with alterations.

Lady G blew me away last year at the Oscar honor for Julie Andrews when she did the full five octave tribute to the 50 year anniversary of the sound of Music. Until then I thought she was just some pop generated "star" who was only famous for being famous. But she has a great voice. Her performance was worthy of the super bowl.
    Cheers,

While she got attention by presenting herself as a weirdo, she is a trained musician, a fine pianist, and a voice that, with the right dedication could be operatic.

    That deeply moved me.
I just watched her again here. Seen it Youtube and elsewhere up to 5 or 6 times.
Improvising Lady Gaga may not have been el perfecto to some but she beautifully put her heart into it big time.
That was absolutely the best part of the Super Bowl. In fact, it pretty much went downhill from there for me personally.
I rolled $44 worth of loose change while I yawned during the first half.
I did not care about either team and or who both quarterbacks played for for during their college days. I'm a Bama fan.
When Beyonce did her racist rants during the half time show, I was all like "Screw this."
I turned off the TV and took a nap.
I found out who won on my PC.

WOW...the very first time she did anything serious, from the heart. Not one satanic symbol, not one UN-illumaned gesture.

Guess there is a first time for everything.

I was totally impressed with her rendition. She sang with passion and made me want to stand and salute. Whoda thought she could actually sing.

As I listened to that I thought to myself, "What a beautiful song." Really, a beautiful song.
