One of my favorite toys, even as an adult.

I have one daughter who has a small one of these and loves it. She amazes me with her creativity and precision in creating landscapes.

Also, what are we going to give to our bosses (Dilbert-style) if the Etch-a-Sketch went away! :)

You are so good! +1. gotta do both knobs for a circle though, otherwise it is an ellipse.

I had one as a kid back in the 60's. Many hours of self-absorbing fun. Fostered creativity back then, but it probably can't compete with Nintendo these days. Guess what. I still have it and it still works.

Having little art ability, I never could get much out of the toy, but I dealt with artists when I published comic books and was always amazed at their ability to come up with fantastic pictures which I always wanted to somehow save and never could.

Good for quietly and secretly transferring notes to another person while leaving no traces

I still have my old one, on a shelf in the library. It 'works' inasmuch as there is nothing broken and the knobs turn properly, but it does not 'draw' any more. Kept as a momento - I was never very good at it, but I enjoyed it.

Old dino had one as a kid many, many, many years ago.
Four little brothers must have something to do why I can't remember how it somehow disappeared.
I have a stepson with two little boys. Gift idea!

Loved this as a kid too. Used to put a rubber band around the two knobs to draw a circle. Know how I changed the diameter?

I had one. My kids have a Boggie Board, which is similar but allows you to try draw with a stylus and erase the screen with a button.

I did. Being a non-artist I was unable to produce anything on it but I drew some lines and goofed around on it. A pretty cool device though.

Wonderful toy! I remember we got one when they first came out...and kept getting them over and over again. :)

I liked it better than Wooly Willie, even though he was fun, etch-a-sketch could do more :)
