The Digitization of Matter

What is the digitization of matter...does it matter?
I think so...is the world grown up enough to take this on in an ethical way?
What will we do with our time when we can create ourselves, everything we need or want?

I suggest we shouldn't just jump into this without discussing the consequences, ethics and responsibility. Things that are not taught nor learned by today's youth, things governments, the worlds delite, the great unwashed kakistocracies know nothing about.

From an objective point of view...how should we encourage these developments.
I say encourage instead of regulate because speaking to conscious beings, it is all that is needed.
Your thoughts

"We" don't "jump into" anything as a collective. As long as there is freedom, individuals pursue new ideas, which does not require or tolerate collective discussion. The "ethics" of new manufacturing methods does not require anything new.

Those doing the thinking and acting aren't waiting and have no concern for what they would do with spare time. They do not require encouragement. Those who know nothing about it will eventually find out -- and will then proceed to try to control it. We have been through this cycle before.

The producer of the video is already engaged in hand wringing over viro "recycling" and leftist 'social justice' "circular economy" and "obsolescence" of replaced technology. 'Don't move!' 'Moratorium on brains'. 'Equalization of Opportunity'.

http://WEforum.org sounds like something out of Anthem: "International Organization for Public-Private Cooperation committed to improving the state of the world" -- "Our activities are shaped by a unique institutional culture founded on the stakeholder theory, which asserts that an organization is accountable to all parts of society."

I am aware of the producers and their taint and I also know "WE" and The value creators are not part of any collection...that is liberals speaking for themselves,,,body with only a brain- no mind.

This is extraordinary technology and could allow each of us individually to create all our needs and desires ourselves...it will be interesting to see how this plays out, one still needs the resources for printing the matter, we haven't learned how to get the materials out of thin air yet. we will have to do something to purchase those materials.
The left would love to just sit on their asses and do nothing the rest of their lives.

Obviously, no one said they should wait and sure they don't give a F what you'll do with your time, how things would equal out...but they should to insure their success and take advantage of additional opportunities. I would hope that they act with ethics so as not to do harm to their consumers and consider all possible outcomes. Just reference the crap that goes on today; deny, deny, deny then payoffs, only After people die, get sick and figure it out.
