“The Constitution and the American Political Tradition”
Larry makes some interesting points as usual but one that caught my ear is: Government (public) employees are a special interest group also.
My first thought was...maybe they should not be allowed to vote because of this bias. They would always vote for "Big Government" candidates.
(and Yes, I do not blame nor intend harm to most of these individuals...they have to make a living also...my point is I'd rather it wasn't upon us to provide them with that living seeing that they do more harm than good...as Larry points out...it used to be voluntary.)

He claims to be "hopeful" and that is good generally. OTOH, on part of the history he cites, he is either naiive or ignorant. Fortunately it doesn't interfere with the central message.
