Calvin and Hobbes were my favorite philosophers next to A.R. Another great cartoon philosopher was Walt Kelly, and before them, Al Capp. In the case of Capp, most folks didn't realize they were reading satire unless Capp was drawing his cartoon within a cartoon, Fearless Fosdick, a very obvious take-off on Dick Tracy.
