I've never heard someone say the phrase, but it sounds like basic poisoning the well, as form of ad hominem.

I found the video incredibly annoying and could only tolerate 39 seconds. It may be the most annoying 30 seconds of A/V I've ever seen. It's not exploiting those 12 cognitive biases in a favorable way. If people want to make a big deal about this bit of poisoning the well, they should have Lauren Rumpler do a video about it.

      Right, but if it's much better to say, "You made claim X, which is based only on race." It's wrong to make a request whose premise is an ad hominem attack. It's like, "Please set aside your wife-beating ways for the purposes of this discussion." Attack the ideas, not the person.

        No, people THINK they're aware of racism. But in truth they're usually not, and just like to tell themselves that they are. Unless they're on the receiving end of persecution, most people generally forget about it, and need to be reminded of how social perceptions and institutionalized discrimination benefit them while hurting others.
