The one employee laid off was probably a Republican.

Thank you for the Imperial March. I posted a new post called Enemy Identification. By acknowledging the enemy as the enemy instead of sugar coating them, I am able to be most effective in disarming them.

I have my fun, Robbie, but not when the Stormtroopers are after me as you suggested. That is serious war.

You can bet every employee that works at the Fed had no worries at all. We just print that money to pay all our members. Just like asking someone who has no money for their bills "Well we will take a check".

Enjoy Pendulum of Justice, that's a great book. The Khalings are certainly among the group of revolutionaries I was talking about. And thank you for downloading The Golden Pinnacle. Let me know what you think of it.

I know that discussion of this movie will be lost on this audience, but wouldn't it be nice if like at the end of the movie "Merlin" that liberals would go away if we ignored them in the same way those in Camelot just walked away from Queen Mab and her magic?

Straightlinelogic, I downloaded The Golden Pinnacle from Amazon about three weeks ago and am going to read it after I'm done with Pendulum of Justice by dbhalling and khalling.

You're never going to hide from them and you're never going to escape from them. Other than their own inevitable collapse, the only way victory is possible over these people is open rejection of their government by revolutionaries with complete moral certainty in the rightness of their cause and a clear understanding of what they want as a replacement for the present system. Galt's Gulch is a perfect haven for such people, and some of us are making our stand via literature, blogs, and other means presumably protected by the First Amendment. "You don't know what you've lost if you don't know what you had." The Golden Pinnacle is my attempt to show what we've lost. The next two books in the trilogy will show how to get it back.

In my Yoda voice: Hmmm. The way of "the dark side" that is. Cue a little stormtroopers music.

Bring it on. Most, if not all, Gulch citizens do not need anyone else. There are some others, like Gulch citizenry and my family and friends, that are nice to be around, but I do not NEED anyone else.

This is why Thomas Jefferson was correct when he said, "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants."

    Drat!

I was hoping that the one federal employee that got laid off would be Dear Leader.

Not even. Way too mild. 1 out of how many millions of federal employees? I was laid off from two different companies in the past 10 years due to the downturn. Should have been a 20% cut in personnel and those left get a 20% cut in pay.
