also for wearing an illegal bullet proof vest. How come those are illegal? only the police can wear them-which means you have to stay nice and vulnerable. Actually, I just wanted to focus on the thug-but the more I read, the more I can tell the difference between thugs

    Everything that you thought that you knew about gun rights can be thrown right out the window once you enter the New York City limits. I have registered guns, and the concealed permit, for Florida, but none of this would get me off the hook in NYC. He broke their Draconian laws, but I won't hold my breath waiting for anything to be done to him.

    Eric Holder covered his back during the voter intimidation investigation, and I suspect that this story will go away also. The blindfold on the Lady of Justice has slipped off of one eye...and the eye scan reveals that this eye belongs to our President.

    Yeah."illegally wearing" a bull proof vest. I'd like to know when one can wear one "legally"....why can't we all wear them all the time if we wanted to? Seriously, when he was acting a thug (at the voting polls) he wasn't arrested for voter intimidation, however walking down the street...he gets frisked and arrested. Is there more to this story??

      I don't think so. the officers were alerted to the vest which was under his clothes-so they just guessed. so there walking down the street he gets frisked and they find something. it's quite possible it will be thrown out, you can't search without cause. The rest of us have to have registered firearms however. Mr. voter intimidator too. But he has already proven he doesn't follow laws. thug. a thug who was thugged. poetic justice a bit. the only state I saw it outlawed in was Conn. but legislation had been initiated in NY. maybe it passed. I saw two other things. in the US it's illegal to sell body armor to a convicted felon. also illegal if worn in the committal of a murder. the charge is "enhancement" of a crime. weird

        Probably in PA they do by the sounds of it. Ridiculous laws. Seriously a sign of running out of things to make unlawful...the law makers are just making up crap to make them seem useful at this point. It's pathetic.

          A Firearms Transaction Record, or Form 4473, is a United States government form that must be filled out when a person purchases a firearm from a Federal Firearm License holder (such as a gun shop).
          The Form 4473 contains name, address, date of birth, government-issued photo ID, National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) background check transaction number, make/model/serial number of the firearm, and a short federal affidavit stating that the purchaser is eligible to purchase firearms under federal law.

            That's a background check. (I'm no expert on all States' gun laws...some States have different laws about licensing/aka registering. Hence the New York map of gun owners in certain areas...public record.) Gun shops, when they sell a gun, are supposed to keep these records for 6 months (or something), but you don't need a "license" to own a gun in most States, or register it. Saying he owned an unlicensed gun implies he didn't have a license to own THAT gun (?)... what I'm thinking is he has a criminal background that they didn't mention which would hinder him from passing a background check to purchase a gun.. more to the story???
