I think it's great that Matt Lewis used the expression "Going Galt" in the headline.

I tested my 20 year old son the other night..."Hey, can you grab my purse?" He bent over and picked it without batting an eye. After telling him of this conversation he said, "You're my Mom...I wouldn't do it for my girlfriend." lol

My husband and son will hold mine when required, but only with two fingers and arm extended, so it's obvious they're not "carrying" it.... :)

I understand -- I was just playing with you.

I do not feel threatened by an honest person with a weapon. I actually feel quite at ease about it.

I have felt threatened by people with guns only 3 times in my life. The last two were Oakland police officers; the first was a police officer in Spain. In all three cases, I was just standing there -- an innocent bystander, as it were. But the police officer was so out of control that I was literally worried for my life.

A gun in the hands (or purse or backpack or whatever) of an honest person is the safest thing I can think of.

That wouldn't be winning, that would coercing...and threatening. I'm not a looter!
I won...(I have forgotten what we were debating, but I'll take the win all the same. lol)

It means I concede to your position.... ;-)

And you didn't even have to take out your gun!

...I was making a gun point. This misunderstanding that people who carry guns use them willy nilly when in fact it's only there in case an imminent threat presents itself. Only if...period. (Bob Beckel is doing this right now on the Five... clueless bastard.)

I agree -- I have discovered that staying out of someone else's purse is always the best policy...

I'm thinking no matter which way I answer this one, I'll just get myself into more trouble... ;-)
