Wisdom is strong as a millenary rock and ardent like a wildfire. When a man possesses
it, he becomes immune to all banalities and he acquires firmness against the unexpected changes of human destiny.

The seeking of wisdom or Truths (as in the physical and natural laws) that never change.

( all reference to the mind should read Brain- the mind, you might know, is outside the brain)

Philosophy of geography is that subfield of philosophy which deals with epistemological, metaphysical, and axiological issues in geography, with geographic methodology in general, and with more broadly related issues such as the perception and representation of space and place.

the relationship of philosophy and the earth

Depends on the philosophy and if the individual trying to describe the relationship is objective or subjective.

Being a geologist with a minor in philosophy........I don't get it.

Sometimes, I think that everything meaningful has been said already in one fashion or another and the constant search to say anything new just drums up new jargon that attempts to impress with its own self deluding cleverness.

seeking wisdom by integrating the different "Geographical" philosophies. Connecting the dots...correlations or a different perspective on some ground in common. That was my take on "Geophilosophy" however, there is their tendency to ground some of the scientific with the mystical loosing the idea of pragmatic scientific processes.
I've studied so much new, old and weird stuff that I seem to be able to discern what is valuable and productive thought.
