This is why they kill other Muslims. The so-called "passive" Muslims are NOT practicing Islam as it is written. they are backsliding Muslims. I am not speaking from a position of hate but of fact, not of opinion but as one who has read the Qur'an and its Surahs.
And before you compare Christianity to Islam, and the Old Testament to the New Testament, there is NOTHING in the New Testament that tells its followers to go out and kill non-Christians. But to preach and proselytize, and God will sort out good from bad in his time, and his followers will not have to do anything.
To the contrary The Qur'an throughout preaches as these verses do.

I don't think there is an Islamist Bible. Sometimes I think a Pope-like figure (a Caliph?) would force Isalmists to admit they're not following Islam, but I think what they admit doesn't matter. I think they'll fail under the weight of their own bad ideas.
They don't need Netanyahu to prompt them.
In fact my take is Obama hates Isreal he hates their productivity and as we know from his stand point
all success is credited to someone else not the achiever.
I would think he Benjamin N was ineffective as a leader if he didn't want support for his nation.
We have spent the last 7+ years shunning our allies.
During Netanyahu's comments I did not get the sense that he was doing anything but describing Islamic radicalism and their hate of all that is not them. Something our commander in chief refuses to do.
I am not an apologist for modern Islam; I have no affinity for it, but in the past there is evidence that Islam was not the dictaorship of evil that we are schooled that it is today.

The actions of the media whip people into a fear frenzy, akin to fear of flying, when one's chances of dying this way is very low. Scared people make poor, subjective decisions, like trying to take away the freedoms of others, however irrelevant it is to the fear.
My priorities are clear and objective. The death of 50 people my a madman does not prompt me to immediate action other than some sadness anger and a renewed interest in an LtC (which I will obtain when I get to NH), because it is statistically trivial, and no one has proposed a reasonable action remotely capable of controlling the event.
Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.
My set of priorities? For the place I live:

Correcting the deficit
Limiting government powers
Reinvigorating industry and the economy

Did the West fall into a Dark Age? Yes. But the Byzantine Empire lived on. The Baghdad Caliphate looted the technology of the Byzantine Empire--and, to a lesser extent, the Jews. And when they erased the Byzantine Empire, they had nowhere else to loot from. And, of course, they failed in their bid to conquer the West. your argument about letting them develop new weapons is to be taken seriously. However, I wonder just how much these statist societies could really develop. Russia is being kept alive by the western countries buying energy from it. China by the stuff the world buys from them. etc
Now I don't suggest going to war for loot and plunder, i.e., oil. We'd be no better than they if we did that. But I'm not sure I want to sit around and give them time to develop, or steal, an intercontinental ballistic missile with Multiple Independently-targetable Re-entry Vehicles riding in its tip.
Islamists by definition do not keep quiet. The very word means believing that a literal interpretation of religion should be the basis for everyone's life and gov't. That's a radical claim. So radical Islam is the same thing as Islamism.
Modern hatred toward Jews appears to me to be nothing more than envy of their success at capitalism.
The so-called Palestinian point of view is only possible for someone who doesn't know history or religion at all. Arabs have been trying to "ethnically cleanse" the countries they occupy (and any others they can conquer) since Islam was founded in the 7th Century. The Crusades were defensive in nature. It was Muslims, not Communists, who invented the idea that "peace is defined as the condition that will exist after we own the world", and Islam encourages them to lie to, cheat, and murder non-Muslims whenever expedient. Islam is not so much a religion as a political movement of and for total barbarians, and it and its proclaimed followers deserve zero respect. Indeed, they will probably force their opponents to exterminate them before there can ever be peace in the Middle East.
Truman recognized Israel, but then provided no aid in their desperate struggle to survive in the first days of their nation's existence. The only American President to actually provide real aid in time of need to Israel was Nixon. We've sold aircraft to Israel, but only when we were providing the same support to their enemies (Saudi Arabia).
