    I love this guy!
    If he wins---what a message that would send! Looks as if he has about as much chance as a Zippo in a thunderstorm, but it can happen. I hope it does.

    Let's look at this quote carefully from the article:

    “Mike believes in people and understands that they make the best decisions for themselves."

    In the context of the article, this implies that this is the reason we should leave small businesses alone to venture out, relying on their own devices vs. being burdened by collectivism's disease.

    There is a fundamental flaw in this thinking and it reveals that he isn't completely won over to what freedom means; or just needs some further philosophical education on freedom.

    I would suggest to Mike that his campaign advocate the position that people should be left to their own devices (for small business or just living in general) because that is right, not because it pragmatically is best suited for small businesses to flourish. That way, even if a small business fails, the collectivist cannot come back and say that our premise that freedom is pragmatic was flawed (which based on pragmatism, it really is).

    i live in colorado ..... i try to follow politics here fairly closely..... i have never heard of this guy... i see he is running on the independent ticket....
    all i can say is this.... these "off" tickets such as independent and libertarian tickets really haven't much chance of winning in this state..... folks who vote for these tickets usually take 1 to 2 percent of the votes away from republicans.... in close races that will mean more liberal BS here.... if i were they i would SERIOUSLY consider the consequences of their vote....

      I live in Colorado, and I SERIOUSLY consider the consequences of my vote, and of casting a blank when I make that choice. The first thing I consider is," if I do this, will I be able to look myself in the eye in the mirror tomorrow?" I would not like the person I saw in the mirror if she had caved for "political expediency" or "real politics" or, most disgusting, because a vote for anyone but a R/D is "wasted", because you won't be voting for the winner. yecccccch.

    I also live in Colorado, and have not heard of him until now. Thanks for the link. I agree with some of his points of view on liberty, though I likely won't vote for him for some reasons. First him saying that the government can't legislate on morality. That's the basis of law, it's what values you put first, liberty is high on my list but not the top. Second, libertarians are a great philosophy, but thanks to their pulling of votes from Republicans, Democrats have won here before. I rather have a Republican than a Democrat for dreaming of a Libertarian. Third, after the 8 year old child of a friend of mine was ran over and killed by a driver high on marijuana, I just can't get myself to support anybody who supports the liberty to use that drug here.

    I like his message, but I expect to here a lot of these kinds of messages from politicians this year. The liberty movement is growing. But picking a banker as a running mate on a platform of liberty seems a little questionable.

    But there are some in CO that I'll suggest looking at him.

      I do not. I have listened to Craig Silverman for years on the radio. He used to be more prog and it all changed after Obama, though he calls himself Libertarian. Maybe he has an event he can dovetail with the movies.

    I do not live in Co. but his message is straight forward and simple. I do have kinfolk in Co. though and will alert them about this man. Great videos.

    Yes, he says some good things but there are a lot of people who say the right things. Winning elections takes more and, like it or not, image matters. Really? He couldn't shave, take a shower, and put on clean clothes to make that video? Looking like a dirtbag isn't 'cool', it shows he isn't serious about becoming governor of Colorado. In short, he is unelectable because no one will take him seriously.

    Besides, he said the same thing the contemporary communists say, "I'm going to take the money out of politics." That is nonsense. Wealth & power always have gone together and they always will go together. That has been true since the dawn of civilization and the Founding Fathers understood that, which is why The Constitution specifically defines what the government is allowed to do (e.g., if it's not written in The Constitution, the government is not allowed to do it).
