This has been a mistake, and a jiu-jitsu move on the part of the progressives since September 12, 2001.

Not 24 hours had passed before the progressives began their fear-mongering about Moslems being persecuted in the U.S., rather than focusing on getting payback.

Just as they've tried to pretend that Christianity is the religion to fear rather than Islam, the progressives have tried to pretend that the *real* terrorists are Americans, and not middle-eastern Moslems.

The entire mindset of the American people has been able to be altered via this tactic. We, naively thinking it was a temporary war inconvenience, allowed abominations like the Department of Homeland Security and the TSA to be formed. We allowed the government, instead of funding the slaughter of middle-eastern Moslems, waste billions of our tax dollars snooping on and inconveniencing millions of innocent citizens. Half a generation later, we have voters who dance to the government's tune, not even able to think that the government should dance to ours.

This is what you get for bending knee to PC. This is what you get when, instead of saying, "The only good Jap is a dead Jap!" and winning World War II, you say, "We need to focus on the *radical* Moslems, there are lots of good Moslems in the world", and losing the Last Crusade.
