    Well isn’t that special? Because he didn’t know he was convicted! What if the scientist thought a big one was likely to come and he said nothing? If it occurred he would not be penalized if hundreds died… What if he reported a big one was coming and it didn’t happen, could he be sued for losses incurred because people evacuated? Why would any scientist stick his neck out now? This whole thing is nonsense! I think the Italian judge and jurists should put down the vino bottle!

    This is just beyond ridiculous.

    Another very good reason for scientists to avoid government funded positions.
