Islamists Move In On Baghdad

How can anyone deny our President has gone out of his way to help radical Islam? From saying NASA's job is to explain the Muslim role in space advances to the Arab Spring to Benghazi to releasing dangerous al Qaeda leaders-and now this-he is a traitor.
We have lost a key philosophical and PR war. The encroachment on Baghdad unravels anything we have done in the war on terrorism and 6717 soldiers and countless wounded soldiers with severe brain injuries and limb loss among other injuries. Everyday a new scandal shows up to show in real, concrete examples his agenda against the country. and we just watch...

    Hello Circuit Guy,
True enough, it was a theater that may not have needed to be entered into in the first place. However, one could not predict what the investment potential might have returned with a stable Iraq if a residual force agreement had been established. Now it may become a stronghold of radicals from which to stage attacks on Americans and our interests. The peace dividend alone may have been worth the investment. We will never know; but, we have the history of Korea, Japan, and Germany to compare to what has happened there (although I would argue it is past time to remove much of our contingent in at least Japan and Germany). One cannot rewrite history, but one can learn from it.
    Respectfully,
    O.A.

    Hello khalling,
Isn't it disgraceful? I heard it reported that aside from the human cost we spent over 2.2 trillion dollars on that war... apparently to this administration it is somebody else's family members and somebody else's money. The same end is likely in Afghanistan.
    Regards,
    O.A.

I think we are doing that in an attempt to make it look like we did all we could. The administration has no intentions of stopping what is about to happen.

I agree. I can’t watch, and I can’t believe we are still talking about sending more hardware in. Iraq is suppose to be getting an Apache helicopter, a couple F15’s. Seriously?!

Did anyone really think the job was done?
The real terrorists are in the Dark Center.

The radicals' job of taking back Bagdad/ the country of Iraq has been made much easier with all the toys we left behind. Perhaps we should start there with our retrospect: ‘in the future’...

He is straight forward in his analysis. I guess supporters of the administration simply discount his opinions as right wing conspiracy theorist.

I think I respect Col. Peters more than any other military man I've seen in the news. Except, maybe, Colonel North. And as far as strategy and tactics are concerned, I respect his opinion more.

(He's another of those people I'd like to meet, but wouldn't want to meet me...)

Col. Peters has been critical of this administration for years. He makes excellent points. It does appear to be too late.

This has been difficult to watch. Is the press reporting this or taking the administration to task over this? The situation was stable when Obama took office. He failed to get an agreement to leave enough troops behind finish the job. Pure incompetence.
