While we're very happy to have you in the Gulch and appreciate your wanting to fully engage, some things in the Gulch (e.g. voting, links in comments) are a privilege, not a right. To get you up to speed as quickly as possible, we've provided two options for earning these privileges.
Remember Howard Dean and his whooping it up.
How unpresidential of him , Dean should have stuck to selling his country out for a "foundation".
You have to ask why.
"I wuz no wheres near dat place."
They have studiously avoided confronting this president and his miscreant party at every step. It is almost as if they have an agreement with the D's to be allowed to continue in DC if they "play ball" with the Progressives!
What over conclusion can one draw when you see the blatant abdication of their "Loyal" opposition duties. The advise and consent is no longer in their vernacular it seems.
So, if we keep the status quo and these "go along to get along" R's continue to play it safe (allowing them to keep their power and perks) what can we hope for? There are 5 UN treaties awaiting ratification and even though they are unconstitutional, it looks like they eventually will get passed. We need strong leadership in order to resist (and defeat) the powers that wish to destroy our once great Republic.
Congress has proven itself to be all but useless and that is with an R majority. I have not seen anything that gives me hope that these folks are up to the task. Perhaps running scared will make them better (and less corrupt) leaders.....Too many Republicrats to make a difference!
