I am a 4th year university student working towards a bachelor and master degree in tax accounting. I hope to use my tax expertise to help myself, other individuals, and corporations reduce their tax burden and keep as much of their hard earned money as possible. Being at a "liberal" (more like totalitarian) college, I am constantly labeled selfish. However, it does not bother me because I know that I live a moral and rational life.

Welcome to the Gulch Phillip. I take being called selfish as a badge of honor. It just tells me I'm acting in my rational self-interest.

Welcome Phillip! My hat is off to you; tax accounting is rough stuff. I always thought the Master of Accountancy students at my alma mater were either super smart or super crazy. Oh, and the thing Looters label "selfishness" is more appropriately labeled "rational self-interest" 'round these parts.

    Thanks for the welcome!
Yes, it is tough! The US tax laws were written by irrational and self-destructive politicians serving special-interest groups.
And I know all about rational self-interest. I've read all of Rand's books except "Capitalism: the Unknown Ideal."
