Tis true that the next royal ruler in line for her coronation has her ego as queen along with her (psst! rape enabling) feminist airs, but her most influential advisor has literally been in bed with her for decades when not briefly hopping into others.
I can't help but think of similar if less lecherous stuff I lived through as a young Alabama voter who never did vote for a Wallace. My previously indoctrinated all white publicly schooled mind was in the process of independently growing up by then despite knowing some guys in the KKK.
I had been moved my MLK's "I have a dream" speech but I digress.
Alabama First Lady Lurleen Wallace never had a hope in hell for early treatment that may have let her live longer than age 42.
Told by a doctor that his wife had cancer, Segregationist hero George Wallace kept that little bit of nothing to himself and encouraged Lurleen to run for governor.
She won.
Then the poor thing up and died 16 months later in 1968, one year before the first moon landing and yours truly getting drafted to be two years a slave.
But what happened to dirt napping Lurleen is okay. She has a lake named after her.
Who can beat that with a stick?
