Mars-bound astronauts 'will' face chronic dementia risk from galactic cosmic ray exposure

Will astronauts traveling to Mars remember much of it? That’s the question concerning University of California, Irvine scientists probing a phenomenon called “space brain.”

Here is a clue as to why our members of the worlds kakistocray's act so strange...maybe they did come from space and therefore are effected by "SPACE BRAIN"!

['will'] is my addition to the title.

There is a solution to every problem. All it takes is for our scientists to bend their efforts towards solving them. I truly believe that no problem is unsolvable, given time, effort and money.

Now, when it comes to "Space Brain" I think that may be a misnomer. Since so many people in Washington take drugs, it is likely that a better description is "Spaced Brain."

For some reason--what would that be?--that up and popped in my head, since I'm old dino enough to recall skipping records.
Then it occurred to me YouTube might have one of those.
More than one as it turned out.
    +1 for being a sport.

There are a variety of solutions to the cosmic ray problem. The key is to have what are called "low Z" materials that do not emit heavy particles when struck with high energy cosmic radiation. Lead is not low Z, but there are much lighter materials that qualify. Water is also an effective shield. This information isn't new, but is receiving new attention now that private entrepreneurs like Elon Musk are talking about a Mars mission.

I accept that we in the usa mighty actually send a tem into space heading to mars. However it is so far in the future that I can't see when it will happen. But when it does I expect they will not remember any of it because they will die during the trip going there.

Maybe, maybe not. This same institute of higher learning also says we have global warming. What are the drug companies doing, but producing drug-induced Alzheimer disease? Meanwhile, Hillary, speaking to the CFR, has admitted they are dumbing down schools, saying, "We know, the goal is to produce socially uninformed people." If one doesn't get you, something else will.

Having worked on the space program for over 50 years I recognize that there are many challenges that must be overcome. Radiation induced tissue degradation is just one of many. Micro musculature atrophy is another and redistribution of body fluids yet another. And we must not forget psychological issues. For the most part these are engineering problems in that they will submit to solutions that are based on careful analysis and understanding. It is difficult but I don't see any real showstoppers, at least not yet.

You might be interested to know that many of today's diseases are symptoms of scurvy...the vitamin C that's added to everything is fake...it's only one chemical, where as vitamin C is actually a complex. But even that one chemical is a cancer killer taken in high doses intravenously.

Think of the early days of the European empires, when sailing crews suffered from scurvy and much more. Still, they set sail... This, too, will be figured out.

I agree with the naturals, they clean the body the best. It always pisses me off when they say...we'll develop some pharmaceutics...to that I say bullshit, there are plenty of natural compounds and herbs that'll do the trick.
Still, space radiation is a problem.
Was listening to a "fly on the wall discussion' and we wondered if just being away from the shuman resonance, the magnetic field and the natural electricity...might play it's role in our demise out there. The idiots in charge can't see the big picture and can not take everything into account.

    Bullshit.
But I will not give it minus one because it is a good topic worth discussing.

Look: we are all born looking down the barrel of a gun. The tragedy is not that we are mortal, but that we know it. So, when offered the greatest chance in the history of mankind to this moment, what is your answer?

Myself, it is hyssop, capsicum, colloidal sliver and atomic gold, in addition to a handful of the common vitamins, a daily, a B100, two Es... you get the picture. I want to live to be 100+ so that I can go to Mars with Elon Musk.

The rest of you Neanderthals can hunker down in your Prepper Man Caves.

“Deficits in fear extinction could make you prone to anxiety,” Limoli said, “which could become problematic..."

especially with those who vote in fear instead of voting based on principles.

That explains most people voting for Trump in fear of Hillary when the obvious choice to represent theim as president is Gary Johnson.
